Come See Pocket Vinyl

IMG_2258

What’s Pocket Vinyl, you ask?   They are the super talented Elizabeth Jancewicz and Eric Stevenson  from New London, CT and are making a stop in Fairmount on their tour.  He plays music while she paints what the music inspires.  At the end of their set, they will auction off the painting Elizabeth creates.

Join us at the library March 8th at 8pm for a joint Dreamy Life Records and Fairmount Community Library Event.

They have been seen on NPR’s Tiny Desk.   Check out their video!

Stop Scrolling Pinterest and Come to Craft Night!

originalWhile sorting through books a few months ago, we ran across a lot of books that had some sort of severe damage to the pages, but had amazingly cool covers.   We converted this book into a clock.   It’s hard to see, but the title reads “The Coming Fury!”   That’s an awesome name for a Book Clock!

Come to the library Thursday, February 26 from 7pm – 8pm to make your very own Book Clock.   We have all sorts of amazing titles to sort through.

You can register for the class here.  And, it’s BYOB.

Additionally, we want to tell you about an event at the library Saturday.   Dreamy Life Records will be hosting a screening of  20,000 Days on Earth which is a musical documentary about Nick Cave.
