Introducing Fort Worth Artist’s Salon

As many of you know, we’ve had a very successful poetry night that occurs every third Sunday of the month at the library at 7. We are trying something new with this event and would like to extend the invite to writers and artists of all kinds.

There will be a theme for every meeting, and the artists will choose the theme at the previous month’s meeting! The goal: create, share, talk!

Join us Sunday, November 20th at 7pm.  The theme is: Ode to Strangers.

For continued updates about the event, please check out our Facebook Event!

Llamanting the Blues by Monica Wright

Monica Wright is a Fort Worth based artist who creates delicate hand drawn pen illustrations and watercolor paintings that are both whimsical and quietly melancholiac.   By layering images over one another, Monica Wright creates works of art that present instances of intrigue with frustrating compositions, turned figures, and drawing hard lines for ordinarily soft surfaces.  Her work explores the duality that comes with humanity, from societal pressures to existential inner turmoil.

You can see Monica’s beautiful work on display when you visit the library.     To learn more about this talented artist, please check out her website:
