Author Night, Volunteer Meeting and more!

Meet Emily March

Come listen to best selling author Emily March speak about fiction writing and publishing followed by a Q and A session with the audience!

She is the author of over thirty novels, including the critically acclaimed Eternity Springs series. Publishers Weekly calls March a “master of delightful banter,” and her heartwarming, emotionally charged stories have been named to Best of the Year lists by Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, and Romance Writers of America.

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Emily is an avid fan of Aggie sports and her recipe for jalapeño relish has made her a tailgating legend.

1st Quarterly Volunteer Meeting

Please join us Thursday, March 31st, at 7pm for the first in our quarterly Volunteer Meetings! We love our volunteers and we want everyone to feel involved and up to date on what is happening with the library. Whether you are a current volunteer or someone who may be interested in volunteering in the future, please join us.

We will have pizza, beverages (water or soda), updates on the previous year, exciting news for the upcoming months, and–of course–fun games to follow. If you bring a side dish or dessert to share, that would be fantastic, but is in no way required.

All current volunteers who attend will get a FREE library t-shirt! Anyone who isn’t a volunteer yet who fills out an application and attends training within one month of the meeting also gets a free t-shirt! And you all know we have some cool shirts!

For more information, please see our event page:  Quarterly Volunteer Meeting

Can’t Believe it’s Been a Year

We have an exciting week at The Fairmount Community Library.

Monday, Jan 8th, Pocket Vinyl will be joining us.  Eric sings, and Elizabeth paints what the music inspires.  After the performance, the painting will be auctioned off.  They played here before, and we welcome them back with open arms!  They are two of the nicest people, and are incredibly talented.   And even if you saw them again, have no fears!  Every show is unique and different than the last.

Rumor has it that beer will be provided by Sleepy Panther Bottle Company.
