Introducing Fort Worth Artist’s Salon

As many of you know, we’ve had a very successful poetry night that occurs every third Sunday of the month at the library at 7. We are trying something new with this event and would like to extend the invite to writers and artists of all kinds.

There will be a theme for every meeting, and the artists will choose the theme at the previous month’s meeting! The goal: create, share, talk!

Join us Sunday, November 20th at 7pm.  The theme is: Ode to Strangers.

For continued updates about the event, please check out our Facebook Event!

Join us for an incredibly magical Children’s Hour December 5th at 11 am as the story of Hershel and the Hannukah Goblins by Eric Kimmel is brought to life by the actors of Amphibian Stage Productions!

We are excited to be hosting this family-friendly event with singing, music, puppets, and crafts before the full-scale production hits the stage beginning December 11th!
This Caldecott honored book takes place in a small Russian village where the presence of wicked goblins keeps the town from celebrating Hanukkah, until one man, Hershel of Ostropol, takes it upon himself to evict the mischievous residents from the haunted synagogue at the top of the hill.

Don’t forget to go see your favorite actors in the full production featuring an original klezmer score, feats of puppetry and stunning visual effects with Amphibian Stage Productions:

Fairmount Fall Festival

Because we’ve worked so hard these past few months, we are not canceling this festival in case of rain.  If rain looks imminent on Saturday during the festival, then we’ll move things inside the library itself.  (Minus the bounce house, of course!)

Come have fun in the Fairmount Park before taking the little ones out trick or treating. We will have plenty of games, a bounce house, as well as costume parades for the little ones and for your furry friends!  Mayor Price, our City Council Representative Ann Zadeh will be making appearances as well.  Joel Burns, our much loved former City Council Representative will also be attending.

We are partnering with Ryder, Fixture, Cook’s Children Hospital, Blue Zones Project and the Fairmount Community Garden to bring you an amazing time Saturday, October 31st from 3-6 in Fairmount Park.

This is also a Teal Pumpkin event making it a safe alternative for children with food allergies.

For up to the minute details of the festival as well as exact times of the children’s costume parade and pet parade, please check with us on this link here:  Festival Information
