We would like to wish each and every one of you a very happy holiday season – no matter how you celebrate.
We will be closed for two weeks, beginning Monday the 21st. We will be mad librarians cataloguing books as quickly as we can.
If you have a child in middle or high school who is driving you crazy and you need to put them to work, contact the library and we can have them help us.
In the meantime, we’ll see you Sunday the 20th of December for our monthly Night of Poetry beginning at 7pm. It’s going to be awesome, so make sure poetry will be on your agenda Sunday
Our featured poet is Lauren Belmore. She is a writer & performer who resides in Denton, TX. She has been published in Alien Mouth online journal & zines by Goat’s Head Record Collective, Spiderweb Salon, Bootown, Kiss Your Best Friends Press, and others. She received her B.A. in Theater with a focus in playwriting and acting from the University of North Texas, where she became the first student in history to write a full length play that was funded & workshopped by the university.
Live painting by Jessica Safely followed by an Open Mic!
Bring your poetry & a bottle of wine to share!
Some wine & snacks will be provided. As always, this is a free event, but donations are greatly appreciated so that we can continue to host events such as this one.
