North Texas Giving Day 2016

It’s September 22nd, and that means North Texas Giving Day is TODAY.   What’s that, you ask?   It’s a special day created in order to let people all over the nation donate to their favorite North Texas Non-Profit.  And, we’d love it if you included us in your donations this year!

If you want to come hang out with us on North Texas Giving Day, we’ll be at Sundance Square beginning at 4pm.

Just follow this link: Donate HERE!  Every contribution will be multiplied with matching funds.  Every donation over $25 will make us eligible for more prizes.

We’d like to thank Cody Bonney for filming and editing our first promo video.   If you love what you see, and need film work, please consider Cody.  Just click on his name above.

Fairmount Community Library presents Reading While Intoxicated! This is going to be an amazing time on Magnolia Ave. in The Near Southside on Saturday, July 30th.

You can purchase a wristband at the Live Oak Music Hall  between 6-7pm.  Then just follow the crowd down Magnolia as you make your way to each participating establishment.  Each bar will feature drink specials for us, all you need to do is buy a $10 wrist band at the first stop to access the specials! All proceeds help keep the library functioning.

We will continue to update the list of bars and drink specials on our website, Facebook page and Instagram, as more sign up.

Stay tuned for information regarding social media contests and details about Finding Waldo.

Lemonade Sale

To help our neighbors out during Fairmount’s Home Tour, we’ll be selling lemonade in front of the library for a dollar.  All proceeds go towards operating costs of the library.

That means, money raised can go towards printer paper, craft supplies, tape for book binding, wifi, and yes, coffee!

And, as always, the first Saturday of the month means we’ll have Children’s Story Hour at 11 am with a craft to follow.
